TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
Documents available in the field of technological innovation concern studies
and experiences in its promotion by SME, in particular in the Italian industrial
districts, and include three sections collecting respectively working documents,
publications, reports and books.
The working documents and publications concern mainly the experience made in the creation and development of RUVARIS, at first as a company and after as a consortium of firms dedicated to cooperative research & development, in industrial districts producing faucets and valves in the provinces of Brescia and Novara, and the possible extension of such experience into other industrial districts. Furthermore, in the working documents there is an article presenting a simple model of R&D activity whose results offer useful suggestions for the promotion of technology innovation in a territory
Reports and books are treating more specific subjects such as a thesis sustained at the Faculty of Economy of the University of the Eastern Piedmont on the possible collaboration between technological parks and industrial districts. There are reports concerning household production about possible use of titanium and a preliminary study on the needs in technology innovation and possible cooperation in such industrial sector. There is also a collection of conferences and articles published on the review “Il Cobianchi”, published in Verbania, and concerning local topics, mainly about technological innovation but also about subjects such as environment and education. Finally it is made available a book, written on the base of our experiences, presenting methodologies and management of technology innovation in industrial districts.
